From the slums shines a bright light.

Street Outreaches

In the heart of Kampala’s unforgiving slums, Project Change partners with the Friends of Street Kids and Orphans Foundation (FOSKOF) to rescue children trapped in the cycle of poverty, abuse, and despair. Together, we are building a safe haven—a beacon of hope for those who have only known hardship.

At the center of this mission is Kevin Mwanja, a true unsung hero. Once an orphan surviving on the very streets he now saves others from, Kevin could have turned his pain into bitterness. Instead, he turned it into purpose. With compassion and relentless empathy, he has dedicated his life to rescuing children, advocating for their rights, and restoring their dignity. On this Father’s Day and every day, we celebrate Kevin—a father figure to hundreds who had none. 💙

Every day, Kevin and his team of brave teachers and former street children walk into the darkest alleys—places few dare to enter. They bring food, medical care, and, above all, hope to children who have suffered unthinkable trauma: rape, abuse, neglect, and hunger. Many arrive at our outreaches barely three years old, clothed only in rags, their tiny bodies weakened by malnutrition and glue fumes. Yet even in their pain, there is a spark—a spark we refuse to let die.

Your support makes the impossible, possible.
Every donation—100%—goes directly to the front lines: emergency hospital visits, wound care, warm meals, and shelter for the most vulnerable children.

With your help, Project Change and FOSKOF are transforming despair into hope, one rescued child at a time.

Be part of the ripple. Be part of the rescue.

Holiday Outreach

Every year, we come together to support an extraordinary humanitarian mission. Our Holiday Outreach fundraiser provides food, medical care, clothing, and hope to more than 1,000 children who often walk miles — barefoot and hungry — just to receive basic help.

Many of these children live on the streets, facing harsh conditions every single day. With the generous support of donors and our dedicated volunteers, we not only meet their urgent needs but also use any remaining funds to purchase clothing for children who have nothing more than bags or scraps to keep warm.

This project is an enormous, volunteer-driven effort filled with compassion, dignity, and love. Thank you for helping us make sure these children feel seen, supported, and cared for during the most difficult time of year.
